A Food Bank Coordinator contributes to AHF by supporting the day-to-day operations of the DC Food Bank, ensuring people living with
HIV/AIDS
receive access to nutritious, appropriate food as part of their care plan. This includes verifying client eligibility in CareWare, assisting clients with their SmartChoice food selections, preparing food orders for pick-up or home delivery, and coordinating the timely and respectful delivery of those orders. The Coordinator helps the program meet performance objectives and program deliverables by ensuring timely service, accurate data entry, and adherence to guidelines set by licensed nutrition professionals. A Food Bank Coordinator enhances the reputation of AHF by delivering high-quality, client-focused food assistance with compassion and care. Their role in providing home deliveries to clients living with
HIV/AIDS
not only promotes food access but also supports client retention in care and improved health outcomes. Their close attention to detail, timeliness, and commitment to grant compliance reinforces AHF's reputation as a leading provider of integrated health and support services. To be successful as a Food Bank Coordinator it is crucial to ensure that the AHF core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that your do. AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders. The Food Bank Coordinator will work as a part of a close knit team to prepare and deliver food to eligible clients, assist with SmartChoice ordering, collect and report impact data, and ensure grant-related requirements are met. They will collaborate with the Food Bank Manager and licensed nutritionists to support menu planning and respond to client needs, all while helping maintain a supportive and health-focused food assistance program for people living with
HIV/AIDS.
High School Diploma required.
