Job Description
The Maine Municipal Association is currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer focused team player to provide skilled administrative support in the position of Health Trust Operations Assistant for the Maine Municipal Employees Health Trust (MMEHT). The MMEHT provides comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability coverage to the employees of over 500 municipal and quasi-municipal employer groups. Our experienced staff of professionals manages claims, billing & enrollment, marketing, and health promotion services, and we are committed to providing outstanding support and member service. The Health Trust Operations Assistant performs technical, administrative, and general clerical duties to assist the Health Trust Member Services and Billing and Enrollment staff. Responsibilities include responding to telephone requests for written employee benefit plan or enrollment materials, taking messages and responding to simple member inquiries, coordination of member letters, preparation of Trust documents and informational materials, and filing and maintenance of Health Trust records. Work also includes preparation of correspondence, basic word processing, excel spreadsheets and other administrative support and special projects as requested. The successful candidate will possess strong oral and written communication skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. The candidate should be able to work well in a team environment and manage multiple tasks independently. Must be able to protect confidential information and remain focused and positive.
