Job Description

Administrative Assistant - 20 Hours per week LPL Financial - Bloomfield Hills, MI Thriving independent financial planning firm looking for a professional, conscientious client service assistant. Our work environment is steadily paced and pleasant. We have high standards and perform with purpose, and we are a close-knit team with a collaborative work environment. The position requires attention to detail and strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate is conscientious, dedicated and comfortable working in a small office environment. We are looking for somebody that will take direction but also work independently, problem solve and take ownership of projects. There is opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility as the candidate becomes more familiar with our firm and clients. Primary responsibilities include :
  • Accurately completing and processing client paperwork, following up to completion
  • Interact with clients professionally - in person and via phone, email and letters
  • Process client deposits and withdrawals
  • Opening client accounts, transferring assets.
  • Work with annuity companies on withdrawals, tax forms, GAWA etc.
  • Process death claims start to finish
  • Updating beneficiaries and client addresses.
  • General office support including filing, copying, scanning and shredding
  • Updating client record management system
  • Mail correspondence and investment related items
  • Provide back-up support to all team members when necessary
  • Knowledge of Redtail, LPL, Orion a plus but not required.
Requirements :
  • The applicant must be proficient on the computer and with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Use of company specific software will be required and taught
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Detail orientated
  • Self-motivated
  • High level of professionalism
  • Discreet in handling confidential information
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan and perform tasks with minimal supervision
  • Three years or more of experience of the financial services/investment advisory industry Additional requirements : Industry regulations require the applicant to undergo a background check
Hours Needed :
Monday- Friday 12:00pm-4:00pm. Hybrid office (Three days in office/ Two days remote)
Compensation :
$40,000-$50,000
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
