Unit Clerk

Job Description

Imperial, a Villa Center is seeking a Unit Clerk to join their team! The Unit Clerk provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation in one unit of a facility, including moving paperwork, writing/preparing reports, reviewing incoming correspondence, conducting research, providing clericals support services, and other duties as assigned. At this facility, this position is collectively bargained under the union.
Unit Clerk Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides information by answering questions and requests. Maintains supplies inventory. Reviews patient records for accuracy and completeness. Manages discharge documents and other patient-related paperwork. Processes heavy phone and email traffic. Produces and distributes correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms. Develops and maintains an efficient filing system. All other duties as assigned.
Unit Clerk Qualifications and Skills:
Basic-advanced computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications. Strong spelling and grammar skills. Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and have strong attention to detail. Intermediate typing skills. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
Unit Clerk Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years working in a corporate, business, or office environment in a similar role.
Physical Requirements:
Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.
