Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a personable and organized Church Administrative Assistant to join our vibrant faith community. You will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and members, manage administrative operations, and support the overall functioning of the church office. Duties Greet visitors and answering phone calls at the front desk with warmth and professionalism Maintain organized filing systems and calendars, both physical and digital, ensuring easy access to church records and documents Handle data entry tasks such as attendance records, donation logs, financial logs, member information, and related tasks with precision Support event planning by preparing materials, managing supplies, and coordinating logistics for church activities Publish the church newsletter by collecting, editing, and creatively arranging input from the congregation and pastor Skills Proficiency in Apple computer software applications and computer literacy Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated experience in office management, clerical work, or administrative support within a church or similar setting is desirable Strong phone etiquette with customer support experience preferable Proficiency in data entry, proofreading, filing, and maintaining accurate records Join us in making a meaningful difference through your organizational talents and compassionate service. This is a paid, in-person, part-time (approx 15-18 hours per week) position, typically staffed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This position does not offer benefits and does not pay into unemployment.
