This role serves as a key point of contact for the congregation and public, managing communications across multiple channels and ensuring smooth daily operations of the church office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate alignment with UU values through their commitment to inclusive communication, ethical conduct, and support of our diverse community. Duties Manage front desk responsibilities, including greeting visitors and answering phone calls professionalism and courtesy Perform data entry tasks accurately using spreadsheets, word processing, and productivity software such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and church database. Support smooth operations by organizing files, maintaining records, and handling filing systems efficiently Assist with calendar management and scheduling appointments or meetings for congregants, renters, and ministry teams Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries via phone or email and ensuring congregant communication is clear and professional Handle clerical tasks such as proofreading documents, preparing reports, and managing correspondence with attention to detail Support smooth operation of facilities by responding to issues that arise and calling in repair professionals as needed Experience Demonstrated customer service experience with a focus on client communication and support Proven office experience with strong computer literacy and technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace Prior experience in clerical roles involving data entry, filing, and administrative support Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment Strong phone communication skills with knowledge of phone etiquette and multi-line phone systems Familiarity with CRM software and online newsletter creation is desirable but not mandatory
Pay:
$21.63 - $24.04 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
