Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, check them in and out efficiently, and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit Schedule appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and manage collections including Medicare and health insurance claims Maintain and update patient records ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Review documentation for accuracy, including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and care plans Manage phone communication with professionalism, providing clear information and scheduling support while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette Support medical billing processes by coding procedures correctly and submitting claims electronically via Athenahealth or other EHR systems Requirements Proven experience in a medical or dental front office setting with strong clerical skills and office management capabilities Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in electronic health records management is essential Knowledge of health insurance procedures including Medicare billing, medical coding (ICD and CPT), and documentation review Exceptional computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and 10-key typing for accurate data entry Strong understanding of medical terminology, health information management, and clinical confidentiality policies Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Excellent customer service skills paired with professional phone communication and appointment scheduling experience Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Prior clinic experience or medical administrative support is preferred but not required Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing outstanding front desk support while advancing your career in healthcare administration.
