Valley Hope of Boonville, located just outside of Columbia off I-70, provides Missouri with residential and outpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment services. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required:
Valid and unrestricted driver's license. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Preferred:
One (1) year work or experience in an office or medical office setting. Previous customer service experience. High School Diploma or equivalent.

JOB SUMMARY
Answers multi-line telephone system and responds effectively to incoming callers. Assists with the admissions call process as directed responding to prospective patients/families with respect and kindness. Assists with the admissions process as directed which may include face-to-face meetings with incoming patients and their families and documentation/computer data entry of patient information. Assists with insurance benefit verification process as directed. Interacts with patients and visitors as necessary to support a positive clinical environment. Performs cash and credit transactions including book or other merchandise sales as well as patient payments for services accurately and effectively. Deposits daily cash and credit receipts as directed. Assists with processing of weekly accounts payables as directed which may include computer data entry, statement reconciliation and balancing of accounts. Prepares letters and documents using approved templates or form letters as requested while following HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines. Respond promptly to medical records requests while following HIPAA and 42 CFR part 2 guidelines. Maintains confidentiality of all patient data in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulatory requirements. Performs computer data entry necessary for accurate patient charges. Assists with patient meetings regarding insurance and/or financial information as directed. Performs common office related tasks such as filing, faxing, and copying. Adheres to Valley Hope's philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as any other regulating bodies. Participates in all assigned staff meetings, staff development, and training as required. Interacts and communicates with others (patients, co-workers, management, clients, and vendors) in a professional and tactful manner including treating them with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office setting within a residential and/or outpatient treatment facility Must be able to work traditional and/or non-traditional hours including overtime based on operational needs. Sitting for extended periods of time of up to 4 hours. Able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.
