- Elem AP Job Code 75ADAST086 FLSA Exempt Calendar PRIN-EA Benefits Eligible (Retirees not Benefit eligible) Contract Type Administration Bargaining Unit None Revised Date 04/14/2026 PURPOSE The Assistant Site Administrator Quest-East position is in the Roseta building which houses several different programs for students with disabilities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Develop goals, objectives, and priorities that align with district-wide goals and initiatives, including standards reference grading (SRG), equity and inclusion work and restorative practices. Collaborates with teachers to design data collection systems, analyze student data, and develop behavioral intervention programs to support students and teachers. Provides leadership planning on fundamentals of classroom management, school-wide positive behavioral reinforcement systems and effective behavioral intervention strategies. Keep up to date on effective strategies in trauma-informed practices, student behavioral management interventions and behavioral strategies. Maintain positive community, student and parent relations that promote active engagement based upon authentic partnerships and proactive communication. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service and learning. Supervise and support personnel and oversee operations at the building level. Support with the hiring and supervising of all teachers and staff in a manner that recognizes and honors Rosetta's culture, while promoting growth. Assist with the support and conducting informal and formal evaluations of teaching and support staff based upon frequent classroom observations to promote continuous learning and improvement of professional practice. Build relationships and practices that maintain a safe, productive culture with fair disciplinary policies for all. Oversee compliance with district policies. Understand and adhere to Board policies and procedures. Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Columbia Public School District.DISTRICT EXPECTATIONS

Minimum:
Master's degree in School Administration. Missouri Principal Certificate and clear evidence of successful classroom teaching experience. Ability to receive career certification for administration. Must be eligible to obtain career certification in appropriate time.Preferred:

Integrate technology into daily instruction; present information to students using a variety of media. Access and create reports using the District's student information software and databases. Readily utilize smart boards, projectors and other instructional technology provided by the district. Adhere to all District policies and procedures regarding technology use. These are essential functions of the job.Physical demands:
Frequently move in and around the building and grounds to visit classrooms, attend meetings, and supervise bus loading and unloading and also be able to sit for an hour or more at a time. The position requires the ability to hear conversations in a noisy environment. Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position including attending Board meetings, student activities and events, and IEP meetings. Weekends or evening hours is common. These are essential functions of the job.Environmental conditions:
The work environment is consistent with a typical office environment; however, they will occasionally be outside in temperatures below freezing and above 100 degrees. The individual who holds this position is frequently required to work irregular or extended hours. These are essential functions of the job.
