Corporate Lake Properties is looking for a dependable, organized, and friendly Office Assistant to join our property management team in Columbia, Missouri. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced office environment, working with people, staying organized, and having a little variety in their day. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable learning new things and can jump in wherever help is needed. What You'll Do As our Office Assistant, you will help support the day-to-day operations of our property management office.
Responsibilities may include:
Answer phones and assist residents, prospective tenants, and visitors Greet customers and provide friendly, professional customer service Assist with leasing activities, including answering questions, scheduling appointments, and showing available units Assist with rental applications and other leasing paperwork Help with data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and general administrative tasks Assist with resident communications and correspondence Help coordinate maintenance requests and communicate with residents and vendors as needed Assist with rent payments, receipts, and basic accounting/clerical tasks Help keep office records and files organized Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and other resident-related tasks Provide coverage for the office when other team members are out Perform occasional errands, property checks, or other tasks related to daily property management operations Learn various aspects of the property management business and provide support wherever needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with people Reliable and dependable Organized and detail-oriented Able to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities Comfortable answering phones and communicating with customers Comfortable using computers, email, Microsoft Office, and learning new software A quick learner who isn't afraid to ask questions Able to work independently while also being a team player Professional in appearance and communication Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information Someone who takes initiative and looks for ways to help Experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. The Ideal Candidate The person who succeeds in this position will be someone who enjoys being the person the team can count on. Some days may involve leasing and working with prospective residents, while other days may involve paperwork, phones, accounting assistance, resident requests, or helping the office stay organized. Reliability is essential. The successful candidate must consistently arrive on time, be dependable, and communicate appropriately when an absence or late arrival is unavoidable. Customer service is a key part of this position. You will interact regularly with residents, prospective residents, vendors, and members of the public, so a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude is essential.
