Job Description
Robert Half is working on a long term part-time (20 - 25 hours a week) opportunity with one of our top clients. Our client, a public-sector organization, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrator to support its Community Development Department and Permit Center. This role will provide a combination of administrative, customer service, and office support while assisting with permit processing, invoicing, contracts, and daily departmental operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide general administrative and office support to the Community Development Department and Permit Center.
Assist with processing, tracking, and routing permits, applications, plans, and related documentation.
Route permit applications and materials to appropriate departments, reviewers, and external agencies.
Process and track invoices, payments, purchase orders, and other financial documentation.
Assist with routing contracts and agreements for review, approval, signatures, and execution.
Maintain accurate electronic and physical files, records, and departmental documentation.
Answer phones, respond to emails, greet visitors, and provide professional customer service to residents, contractors, developers, and the public.
Respond to general inquiries and direct customers to appropriate staff or resources.
Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, spreadsheets, and other administrative documents.
Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, coordinate appointments, and assist with meeting logistics.
Perform data entry and update information within departmental databases and tracking systems.
Order and maintain office supplies and assist with general office organization.
Receive, sort, and distribute mail and correspondence.
Support department staff with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
