Job Description

Delivery Support & Payroll Associate Position Summary The Delivery Support & Payroll Associate plays a key role in supporting the daily and weekly administrative, onboarding, compliance, and payroll functions for the Skilled Trades division. This position works closely with operational leaders, recruiters, sales representatives, field employees, HR, payroll, billing, and risk to ensure a smooth and accurate process from candidate onboarding through weekly payroll and billing support. This role serves as an important liaison between the field team and the back office. The Delivery Support & Payroll Associate must be detail-oriented, organized, service-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, deadlines, and moving pieces. Duties and Responsibilities Answer and direct inbound calls to the appropriate department or team member, ensuring all inquiries are handled accurately and in a timely manner. Send, review, approve, and process new hire onboarding paperwork, including offer letters, direct deposit information, I-9 documentation, and E-Verify requirements. Ensure onboarding is completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company, client, and federal requirements. Provide a high level of customer service to new hires and field employees throughout the onboarding process, making sure they feel supported, informed, and welcomed. Order, schedule, and monitor required background checks and drug screens based on client and job requirements. Track onboarding progress and communicate updates or issues to recruiters, operational leaders, HR, payroll, and other appropriate departments. Collect, review, and save required documents and payroll items needed for weekly payroll processing. Assist with timecard collection, payroll corrections, billing adjustments, and other payroll-related items as needed to ensure employees are paid correctly and clients are billed accurately. Serve as a first point of contact for troubleshooting onboarding, payroll, timecard, compliance, and documentation issues. Communicate regularly with field employees regarding onboarding steps, missing documents, payroll questions, training requirements, and other employment-related needs. Assist recruiters with tracking candidates in VMS systems and client portals, when applicable. Track employee certifications, licenses, safety documentation, and other required credentials to ensure records remain current and compliant. Assist with ordering, scheduling, and administering required employee training, including remote and onsite training during the onboarding process. Work with recruiting teams to help ensure job boards and postings are current, accurate, and aligned with active orders. Support recruiters and operational leaders with administrative tasks tied to open orders, candidate tracking, employee starts, and client requirements. Contribute to front office duties as needed, based on office location and business needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education or relevant experience may be considered. Preferred 1-3 years of experience in onboarding, payroll support, staffing, human resources, administrative support, or a related field. Previous experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Staffing industry experience preferred, but not required. Knowledge of NSC processes and/or experience using Bullhorn preferred. Ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain onboarding, employment, payroll, and compliance-related information. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing documents, entering information, and managing employee records. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to handle a high-volume workload and adjust quickly as priorities change. Sound judgment and decision-making skills. Strong customer service and internal support skills. Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and with urgency. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer-based systems. Experience with Bullhorn, payroll systems, job boards, client portals, or applicant tracking systems preferred. Ability to identify issues that may impact onboarding, payroll, compliance, or employee starts and escalate or resolve them in a timely manner. Willingness to learn, adapt, and support process improvements as business needs change. Physical Requirements With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this position include seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. This position requires sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods of time. Light or moderate lifting may be required at times. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. This position may occasionally require standing, walking, or attending office, client, training, or industry-related events. 40 hours a week Pay is $20-25 #
