Description Join Our Team at Del Norte Credit Union! We're seeking a Part-Time Intern to assist teams across several critical operational functions, including eServices, Loan Operations Support, Collections, Support Operations, Card Services, Fraud Prevention, and Deposit and Payment Operations. Through participation in daily activities and special projects, the intern will gain valuable insight into the systems, processes, and workflows that drive operational excellence within a financial institution. This paid opportunity is ideal for high school seniors, college students, and recent graduates looking to explore careers in business and financial services. No experience required. Training and mentorship provided. Location Espanola, NM Schedule Flexible part-time schedule with hours available Monday through Saturday during business hours. Scheduling will be coordinated around business needs and employee availability.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Assist with daily mail processing and document distribution across departments Support posting activities and basic transaction processing within Deposit Operations Provide support to the Collections team, including handling special check processing Support Card Services with travel notifications, file maintenance, and account updates Assist Loan Operations (LOS) with title filing, tracking, and documentation processing for registrations Help E-Services test system functionality and support digital platform updates Process share drafts and review files from core systems (e.g., Alkami) Support Operations with account research, including deceased notifications and account flagging Perform general administrative and operational support duties across multiple departments

Requirements Experience:
While no prior financial institution experience is required, previous office, administrative, customer service, volunteer, internship, or part-time work experience is preferred.
Education:
Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of hire and currently enrolled in high school, a vocational or technical program, college, or university.
Interpersonal Skills:
Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

Physical Requirements:
This position is primarily sedentary and requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing work on a computer and utilizing standard office equipment, including telephones, printers, scanners, copiers, and shredders. Manual dexterity is required for typing, data entry, handling documents, and operating office equipment. The position may involve occasional reaching, bending, filing, and moving materials, as well as light lifting of up to 15 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity are required to review documents, perform data entry, communicate effectively, and complete assigned tasks. Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting. The environment is generally quiet to moderate in noise levels and involves regular interaction with team members, vendors, and occasionally members and visitors. This is a part-time internship opportunity that offers flexible scheduling to support students' educational and academic needs. The role may require occasional movement between departments or office locations to assist with projects, meetings, and departmental activities.
