Substitute School Secretary Job Description:
The Substitute School Secretary provides administrative and clerical support in the absence of the regular school secretary. Responsibilities include answering phones, greeting visitors, handling student attendance records, processing paperwork, and assisting staff, students, and parents as needed. The role requires professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to multitask in a busy school office.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer phones and direct calls or take messages. Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors. Maintain attendance and student records as directed. Perform data entry, filing and other clerical duties. Support the administrative staff with day-to-day tasks.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior office or clerical experience preferred. Proficiency with basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office. Google). Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
