Lab Admin Assistant Location:
Port Jefferson, NY Hours/Days:
5/8.5 hr shifts Mon-Fri (7am-6pm)

In This Role, You Will:
Have knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and practices. Operate and maintain centrifuges and processing equipment authorized within the Laboratory Services Department. Focus on safety and quality assurance procedures with the ability to function within or above regulatory agency requirements. Perform multiple tasks such as; pending logs, restocking of laboratory supplies, disposal of biohazard waste, temperature charts, helping with inventory counts, archiving completed work, scanning records, and maintenance of laboratory workflow. Have proper usage of time management skills. Interact in a positive manner with supervisors, managers, and coworkers. Have experienced with workflow management. Have high energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted activities. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills; be resourceful and organized. Assume other duties as assigned by management. Understand and observe all confidentiality and HIPAA provisions. Have the ability to navigate and perform required tasks on Labdaq, Onco EMR and Infinity. Recognize and convey to management any departmental improvements necessary.
We Require:
Must have a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of experience in laboratory operations, preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Proficient in
