FRONT-END SUPERVISOR/ADMINISTRATOR'S ASSISTANT
Job Description We are looking for a supervisor to help manage our busy Ophthalmology practice in Albany, NY. In this role, you will assist in overseeing the Front-End staff, assisting with schedules, front desk duties, and enforcing compliance with HIPAA regulations. Other responsibilities include office supply ordering, light accounts payable/receivable duties and assisting with staff and patient concerns. Applicants should have experience working in a medical office. You will also work closely with our practice Administrator. Medical Office Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
  • Schedule and oversee front desk staff
  • Ensure ongoing excellence of patient service and communications
  • Work independently and proactively to address problems that arise
  • Assist in the compliance of office procedures
  • Assist with provider relations when needed
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA as well as internal policies
  • Assist with receptionist tasks as needed Requirements and Qualifications Experience In business administration, or a relevant field or a minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office and 3-5 years of experience in management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional high-pressure situations
  • Experience working in a supervisory role
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal Skills
  • The ability to handle difficult employee or patient related problems with care and empathy but the firmness needed to be effective.
