We are a close-knit team within an innovative kitchen environment, creating and curating various products and dishes inspired by Asian flavors and culture to share with our local community. Interested applicants have the opportunity to be involved with various aspects of our small business, with some days having focused time producing quality food products like our signature dumplings to other days being part of the Service Team to execute delicious and unique seasonal dishes for customers to dine in or take home. Description:

Specifically looking for staff who can perform the following job duties while following sanitary and safety policies for food service industry:

During Production/Off-Service Days/Hours:

Track and maintain inventory of products and supplies Help with dumpling and bao/bun assembly line-like production (portioning and moving ingredients, some folding, support with food machinery) Food preparation (washing, cutting, weighing, storing)

During Service Days/Hours:

Able to transition between front of house (FOH) in support of FOH manager and behind of house (BOH) in support of existing kitchen staff as needed during Service Hours Facilitate and pack orders at store and online orders and handle order management utilizing point of sale system including communicating across FOH and BOH teams Maintain overall store appearance and cleanliness during shift Bus dishes to dishwashing station, operate dishwasher and help with handwashing dishes and cookware as needed during and after service

Skills:

Good communication and organizational skills Attention to detail such as tidying up with areas that have been disorganized, addressing when specific areas or at capacity (e.g. trash, dishes) or when they are empty (e.g. supplies, etc.) Excels in friendliness to customers and can remain calm even when busy and in a fast paced environment General knowledge of sanitation and food safety or willing to be trained Basic food preparation and serving experience required Previous restaurant service is not required but a plus Eagerness to learn and actively find ways to make our business more valuable to our customers is paramount Self motivated and able to generally work independently once trained and provided guidance on work tasks and responsibilities Supportive team-oriented member willing to share in responsibility, accountability and able to build trust with other staff members Significant interest, passion and affinity for Asian food culture, specifically Taiwanese or cuisines that have influenced Taiwanese foods (e.g. Japanese, Chinese)

Expected Hours:
Monday-Wednesday:

production only

•about 8 hours per day of production/clean up, typically 10am to 6pm

Thursday-Friday:

lunch service only

•about 8 hours per day of service/clean up, typically 10am to 6pm

Saturday:

brunch service

•up to 6 hours per day, about 10am to 4pm Must be committed to eat least 20 hours per week, minimum of 4 months; hours and days can be flexible
