Job Description
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is an award-winning nonprofit, nonsectarian human services organization founded in 1943. Today, it has grown to be the largest provider of licensed outpatient community behavioral health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. WJCS delivers innovative programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds throughout the county.
WJCS is currently searching for a full-time Bilingual Administrative Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative services as well as data entry for the DSS Satellite Mental Health Clinic based in Yonkers, NY. This role will also provide part time peer advocacy and/or care management support to the clients being served by the clinic, as needed. The annual salary for this full-time position is $53,000.00 - $57,000.00. The schedule is 4 days per week, Monday - Thursday (
General office tasks including willingness to provide coverage to the Yonkers General Clinic as needed.
Inputting client charts into Netsmart (WJCS client charting system), including the processing of intake documents for new clients, opening and closing client charts, and scheduling.
Processing insurance information.
Coordinating with care team and following up on referrals.
Meeting with clients in need to connect to resources, assistance in making connections to referrals, and being a support person while clients navigate entitlement programs within the DSS building.
Must possess Associates Degree in a related field OR a Peer Certification or Provisional Certification as a Peer Specialist.
Bilingual (English-Spanish) required.2 years of relevant administrative experience.
Exceptional internal/external customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Be able to understand and carry our complex oral and written directions.
Ability to work independently.
Knowledge of community resources.
