The YWCA of Northwest Ohio's Lima office is seeking a full-time Community Connections Specialist who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build relationships, provide exceptional customer service, and connect families with valuable programs and community resources. Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service in person and by phone, connecting individuals with YWCA programs, quality child care, community resources, and appropriate staff.
  • Oversee daily office operations by answering the multi-line phone system professionally, coordinating resource displays, and supporting the smooth delivery of family services.
  • Manage lending libraries, including checking materials in and out, preparing new resources for circulation, and maintaining accurate online inventory.
  • Maintain accurate program records and inventory data while ensuring confidentiality and supporting agency grant reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with program staff to support family engagement activities, community outreach events, resource fairs, special projects, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in administrative assistance or clerical, customer service, social services direct interaction with the public and community engagement highly preferred.
  • Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online database systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a family-centered environment.
  • Experience with inventory management and resource tracking systems preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are highly preferred.

Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
