Part-Time, Non-Exempt Position Overview Troy Main Street is seeking a friendly, community-minded Administrative Assistant to assist the Executive Director inthe many functions of our mission-driven organization. The Administrative Assistant will assist with clerical tasks, support event preparation and execution, assist with smallbusiness outreach, support social media and website updates, and complete other duties as assigned. This rolerequires someone who can pivot quickly, multitask, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor when workingwith business owners, volunteers, community members, and partners. Key Responsibilities Administrative & Office Support Assist with general office duties including answering phones, greeting visitors, managing mail, filing, and maintaining office organization. Assist with data entry, database upkeep, and tracking program information. Assist in preparing documents, materials, and reports for the Executive Director. Assist in maintaining office supplies and equipment and coordinating with vendors as needed. Assist with Troy Main Street's social media presence by helping schedule posts, respond to messages, and support digital campaign activities. Assist with updating and maintaining the organization's website under the direction of the Executive Director. Event Preparation & On-Site Support Assist with planning logistics, preparation, and execution of Troy Main Street events and programs. Assist with event set-up and tear-down, including lifting, carrying, organizing, and transporting supplies. Assist with volunteer coordination, registration, check-in, and customer service at events. Assist the Executive Director with real-time needs during events to help ensure smooth operation. Small Business Assistance Assist with communication and outreach to downtown businesses. Assist with preparing resources, distributing materials, and gathering information from merchants. Assist with small business programs, promotions, and collaborative initiatives. General Organizational Support Assist the Executive Director with daily tasks, projects, and organizational initiatives. Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, board members, and community partners. Maintain a warm, friendly, and solution-oriented approach with all stakeholders. Embrace flexibility when plans or priorities shift in response to community or business needs. Perform other supportive tasks as assigned to help advance Troy Main Street's mission. Qualifications High School diploma required; some college coursework and/or additional training preferred. Passion for Troy, its residents, and its small business community. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, understanding demeanor. Ability to work independently while supporting the direction and leadership of the Executive Director. Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and fast-paced environments. Proficient with Apple iOS, Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and common office software. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Availability for occasional evening and weekend work during events. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed both in an office setting and outdoors during community events. Role involves physical activity including lifting, bending, carrying, and extended standing. Hourly rate range:
