We are currently seeking a full-time Secretary for our Urbana location. This position is perfect for someone who is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys helping people. What You'll Do As the first point of contact for many of our families, you will play an important role in creating a warm, caring, and professional experience.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting families and visitors with kindness and professionalism. Answering and directing incoming phone calls. Scheduling appointments and maintaining office calendars. Preparing and proof reading documents with accuracy. Managing electronic files using Microsoft OneDrive and other Microsoft Office programs. Assisting funeral directors and office staff with administrative tasks. Processing paperwork while maintaining strict confidentiality. Keeping the office organized and running efficiently. Providing exceptional customer service to families and visitors. Assisting with setting up for funeral services to help ensure each family's service is welcoming, organized, and prepared with care. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Has a positive, friendly, and compassionate personality. Is highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. Is dependable, self-motivated, and willing to jump in wherever needed. Communicates professionally in person, over the phone, and through email. Is comfortable using computers and technology, including: Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Microsoft OneDrive Learns new software quickly and adapts well to change. Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. Previous administrative or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
