The full performance level class works under general supervision & requires considerable knowledge of clerical and secretarial procedures; administrative support procedures; office processes, procedures and policies to perform routine and non-routine administrative support activities.
Normal Working Schedule:
Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 4:00pm Posted until filled. Provides Customer support, answers routine and non-routine questions regarding the department and/or services offered. Performs routine and non-routine tasks. Operates the county switchboard by answering all inquiries from incoming calls and transfers to correct department. Responsible for greeting and directing visitors; maintaining logs; answering multi-line phones and preforming data entry. Responsible for receiving, reporting, recording, processing and finalizing all work orders for all county departments. Provides support to the Service Garage; scheduling loaner vehicles. Communicates with maintenance and carpentry crews as needed. Prepares and maintains files, create forms, runs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as requested. Keeps phone listings updated. Responsible for the timely and accurate distribution of incoming, outgoing and departmental mail, faxes, photocopies, small packages, etc. to the different County offices and work sites. Additional responsibilities include multi-departmental bulk distributions and special projects as situations occur. Distribution of confidential mail and monies. May provide extended hours for the switchboard for election day coverage. Performs others duties of a similar nature or level as assigned. High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.); 24 mos. experience in office practices and processes; valid Ohio Driver's License. - Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the education and/or experience required. Education and Experience may not be substituted for mandated licensure/certification.
UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Predictable and regular attendance is required. Travel required. Stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
