Administrative Support II person would respond to questions from the public and handle basic bookkeeping transactions. This position is 40 hours per week and is represented by the Lake Oswego Municipal Employees' Association/ American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Accept passport applications and forwards to Regional Office - U.S. Passport Services.

Answer phones and receive customers at the counter; determine nature of business and direct patrons as necessary.

Process and provide customers with information concerning business licenses, dog licenses, and customer account balances.

Receive and post bill payments, and review for completeness.

Operate office equipment including computer, voice messaging, copiers and fax machines.

Insure office area is clean and neat, stocked with necessary forms and supplies. Order office supplies as approved and reconcile monthly office supply purchases. Prepare and type correspondence and memos.

Distribute daily department mail and file routine paperwork.

Provide back-up assistance to accounting specialists.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Non-cash compensation includes medical, dental, vision, PERS employee pick up, and VEBA contribution.
Bilingual Pay:
Employees who can speak and/or write a language listed in the top five (5) most common languages spoken in the Lake Oswego School District, may be eligible for three percent (3%) bilingual pay.
