Job Description
Douglas County Planning Department Full time position available with competitive full-family benefit package.
PERS/OPSRP
retirement and availability of deferred compensation retirement savings. Onsite (Courthouse complex) childcare available at a discounted employee rate through Roseburg Professional Childcare (Fowler St. location only). Availability is subject to center waitlist.Job Summary:
This position performs administrative support to the Planning Department. Assists the Division Business Manager and Planning Director with secretarial and administrative assignments. Duties assigned to this classification are varied and/or specialized, and the employee uses considerable judgment and independence to determine appropriate procedures and conduct of assignment.Essential Functions:

Assist clients/public in person and by telephone Manage accounts receivable; maintain and report office cash fund Maintain office supplies and inventory Perform data entry; typing; scanning and filing documents; filing legal notices/agenda columns Set up departmental meetings and serve as recording secretary Assist in the County mailroom Assist with department projectsSKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities required, will be considered. however, the following is preferred: At least four years related work experience which includes supervisory and/or program management experience. Associate's degree in business administration or related field and two years progressively responsible work experience in office management, program management and/or supervisory experience. Required At time of appointment, must possess valid Oregon drivers license Regular and consistent attendance Position may require infrequent driving. Finalist will be required to provide a driving history that meets the Douglas County Driver Policy as part of contingent offer of employment While not part of the initial applicant screening, successful candidates for this position will be required to pass a criminal history background prior to receiving an offer of employment, or as part of a contingent offer of employment.
