Job Description
Chichester School District is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team!
The position becomes available at the end of September
The Education Center Administrative Assistant serves as the first welcome to our community at our district office location. They also provide clerical, administrative, and customer service support to ensure the efficient operation of the District Education Center. This position serves as a primary point of contact for students, families, staff, and community members while maintaining accurate records and supporting district-wide administrative functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage student registration and enrollment processes, including reviewing required documentation and maintaining student records.
Serve as the front desk receptionist by greeting visitors and directing inquiries appropriately.
Process incoming and outgoing mail and oversee the district mailing system.
Maintain confidential student records in accordance with district policies and regulations.
Provide administrative support to the various departments in the Education Center.
Assist families with registration and enrollment.
Maintain clearances for volunteers working in the district.
Enter and update data in district information systems and databases.
Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; Associate's degree or administrative experience preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data management systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
We are looking for a candidate who will take pride in their work, providing an
ORGANIZED, PRODUCTIVE
working environment in our front office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years' office experience, including one year as an administrative assistant is strongly preferred.
