7:30 a.m.•1:00 p.m. Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with EPIC Knowledge of insurance authorizations, referrals, and verifications Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities About the Role As an Office Assistant II, you will play an important role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the daily operations of our rural health clinic. You will serve as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and staff by coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficient office workflows. Key Responsibilities Greet, register, and assist patients in a professional, friendly, and timely manner. Schedule, coordinate, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments. Answer phones, screen calls, provide information, and relay messages to providers and staff. Obtain and accurately enter patient demographic, insurance, and registration information. Verify information within the electronic medical record and scheduling systems. Prepare patient charts and complete necessary forms, referrals, and documentation. Schedule diagnostic testing and obtain insurance authorizations, referrals, and verifications. Process medical records release requests in accordance with organizational policies. Assist with billing activities, charge entry, co-pay collection, and financial reconciliation processes. Support physicians with transcription and dictation-related questions and ensure documentation accuracy. Maintain provider schedules and help ensure patients are scheduled appropriately. Monitor office supply inventory and assist with ordering and stock management. Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized reception and waiting area. Required:
High school diploma or GED Minimum of three years of work experience, preferably in a medical office or healthcare setting Strong computer and word processing skills Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational abilities
