Job Description

IT Project Manager Location Ringhals or Forsmark/Hybrid, Sweden Contract Type Fixed-term contract from 1st October 2026 to 31st December 2026 Work Schedule Role Objective Lead complex and strategically important IT projects supporting nuclear business operations. Act as the link between the Nuclear business and IT delivery, translating operational needs into clear IT requirements and project outcomes. Deliver projects from concept development through completion in accordance with project-governance models. Build engaged, geographically distributed project teams and maintain close alignment with business processes, infrastructure, and IT-security requirements. Key Responsibilities Independently lead IT projects and assignments from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, delivery, and closure. Understand the value, objectives, and deliverables of each project and translate customer needs into IT requirements. Manage project budgets, resources, schedules, risks, dependencies, and delivery priorities. Develop, implement, distribute, and maintain project plans and associated governance documentation. Coordinate customers, solution architects, internal IT departments, external suppliers, and other stakeholders. Combine Nuclear business knowledge with established IT project-delivery methods to connect operational requirements with technical solutions. Lead and support international project-team members through active, visible, and engaging project leadership. Tasks Plan, execute, and monitor project progress against agreed scope, budget, schedule, and customer expectations. Facilitate effective decision-making and communication across business, IT, and supplier stakeholders. Coordinate delivery activities involving IT systems, infrastructure, and IT-security components. Maintain project documentation and requirements in Swedish and English as required. Support change-management activities and ensure new solutions are successfully introduced into the business. Report project status, risks, issues, decisions, and financial performance to relevant governance forums. Deliverables Approved and maintained project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations. Clear IT requirements aligned with Nuclear business needs and processes. Regular project-status, risk, issue, and financial reports. Completed IT solutions and assignments delivered in line with agreed governance and customer expectations. Effective stakeholder engagement and knowledge transfer between the business and IT delivery teams. Project Documents Project plans, schedules, and budget records. Business requirements and IT requirements documentation. Risk, issue, decision, and change logs. Project-governance, progress, and management reports. Handover, closure, and lessons-learned documentation. Decision Authority / Responsibility Lead assigned projects independently within the project-governance framework. Allocate project resources and manage priorities within the approved scope and budget. Escalate risks, issues, and decisions requiring wider business or governance approval. Challenge delivery barriers and coordinate corrective action to protect project outcomes. Requirements Minimum five years of experience as an IT Project Manager. Strong overall knowledge of IT systems and technology, with the ability to use technical understanding to drive project delivery. Experience in change management and the delivery of complex IT projects or assignments. Experience working within a large organisation and complex operating environment is advantageous. Fluent Swedish is mandatory, as many project documents and requirements are written in Swedish. Very good spoken and written English. Swedish citizenship and a minimum of five years continuous residence in Sweden are mandatory. The assignment is subject to security requirements for Nuclear operations at Ringhals and Forsmark. Academic degree in IT, Engineering, or another relevant discipline. Able to work onsite at Ringhals or Forsmark three days per week - business travel costs covered. Driven, organised, and collaborative, with strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
