Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Additional Hours:
Weekends and evenings may be required Position Summary The receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers at the Muddy Run Visitor Center and may be assigned to work at the Conowingo Visitors Center as needed. This role supports daily operations, assists with public engagement, and contributes to recreational programming and administrative tasks. Essential Functions Answer and route telephone calls and emails; maintain a call log using Excel Greet and assist visitors with inquiries and directions Maintain cleanliness and organization of lobby, reception, and display areas Perform typing and data entry tasks Assist with filing and copying of documents (electronic and hardcopy) Create promotional materials such as ads, flyers, PowerPoint presentations, yard signs, and logbooks Support the Licensing and Recreation Department with contests and public events Coordinate with staff on event logistics and visitor services Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED At least one (1) year of experience in a receptionist or customer service role Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in typing and data entry Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, ShareFile) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Any equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience that meets the minimum qualifications
