Full-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Location:
Holtwood, PA Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Independent Options is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and patient Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide In-Home and Community Support to a non-verbal individual in Holtwood, PA. This is a consistent weekday position focused on assisting the individual with daily living activities, skill building, communication, personal care, and community participation. Responsibilities Provide person-centered In-Home and Community Support. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) , including dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, meals, and other personal-care needs. Provide respectful and appropriate incontinence care when needed , including assistance with changing, hygiene, cleanup, and maintaining the individual's dignity and comfort. Support the individual with communicating needs and preferences using their established communication methods. Assist with skill building to increase or maintain independence. Encourage participation in household routines and meaningful community activities. Support community outings, shopping, appointments, recreational activities, and other planned activities. Observe non-verbal communication, body language, behaviors, and changes in the individual's usual routine. Follow the individual's Individual Support Plan (ISP), safety plans, and agency procedures. Complete accurate and timely daily documentation. Maintain a safe, clean, respectful, and supportive environment. Promote dignity, privacy, choice, independence, and individual rights at all times. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, dependable, compassionate, and comfortable providing hands-on personal care when necessary . Experience supporting individuals who are non-verbal, assisting with ADLs, or providing personal/incontinence care is preferred. Appropriate training may be provided.
