Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities In this role you will be: Managing the nursing department payroll. Managing telephone and written communication. Demonstrating excellent secretarial and problem solving and shorthand/speedwriting skills. Performing clerical functions relative to the operation of the nursing administration department. Coordinating day-to-day nurse staffing/scheduling as needed. Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skills to communicate with patients, families, visitors, and the healthcare team. Utilizing modern office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, calculators, computers, and printers. Working in an abstract work environment and multitasking. Recording minutes of various committees and meetings. Working and maintaining composure during peak activity levels and effectively adjusting the work schedule during emergency/unusual situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required Graduate of a business secretarial school or experience
EXPERIENCE
