Job Description
JOB FUNCTION
Assist the Lebanon Transit Finance Manager with the daily financial functions. Responsible for Accounts Receivable functions. Responsible for various computer data entry for Fixed Route and Shared Ride Programs. Produce end of month reports as well as yearly reports for these Programs. Responsible for Receptionist Functions. Serves as backup for cash room/fare collection function. This position is responsible for meeting all attendance requirements. All Lebanon Transit staff members are accountable for maintaining a safe working environment in their department. This position requires training and works according to Lebanon Transit standards. Conduct the business of Lebanon Transit in a positive manner and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Additional as needed; answer phones, assist with schedule information, register customers, various typing and filing duties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible forInternal Control Procedures Accounts Receivable Function:
Daily entry of deposits into MAS90-Sage Accounting Program; Reconcile deposits with agency and bus pass sales; Reconcile credit cards for in-house and on-line sales; Monitor and track prepaids for cash and credit cards to Ecolane by customer; and End of month reporting.Receptionist Function:
Provide customer service to customers, processing clerical and administrative duties; Greet customers in a courteous and friendly manner; Answering phone calls, transferring calls to proper personnel and take messages as needed; and Registering customers for Lebanon Transit services such as; Shared Ride Program, Half Fare Transit for Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) Program; Back-up forCash Room/Fare Collection Function:
Process and deposit daily revenue for Fixed Route and Shared Ride Programs; Process and deposit daily revenue from reception desk and terminal sales; Daily record keeping of cost/sale of terminal vending; Process any miscellaneous account receivable checks and cash for weekly deposit as well as passes monthly; Accurate reporting of Shared Ride and Fixed Route money daily; and Data entry for Fixed Route income, Fixed Route daily deposits, Shared Ride income and Shared Ride daily deposits. SAFETY Lebanon Transit has the following expectations for safety: Occupational injuries and illnesses are preventable; Every operation and process of Lebanon Transit shall maintain compliance with laws and regulations regarding safety and health, as well as the Lebanon Transit Agency Safety Plan; Management must assess and ensure occupational safety and health practices and programs are appropriate to support success; Working safely is a condition of employment; Safety training is required for everyone; Unsafe behaviors, conditions and events must be reported through the Employee Safety Reporting Program (ESRP); Participate in a positive safety culture; and Safety is freedom from the possibility of a work-related injury or property damage from an accident. In accordance with 49 CFR 673, the Lebanon Transit Agency Safety Plan defines its Safety Management System (SMS) through four (4) parts, including:- Safety Management Plan
- Defines Lebanon Transit's commitment to safety as well as the roles and responsibilities of all staff members;
- Safety Risk Management
- Identifying unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors and proactively mitigates those risks to the lowest level possible;
- Safety Promotion
- Communication of safety throughout Lebanon Transit; and
- Safety Assurance
- Ongoing process of evaluating safety risks and mitigations to ensure the mitigations are effective. All Lebanon Transit staff members must be committed to safety. Safety is freedom from the possibility of a work-related injury or property damage from an accident.
