POSITION GOAL
Provide clerical support to administrators and/or the teaching staff. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Interface with staff members, parents, students, and the general public in a positive manner. Relieve the building principal of administrative detail by answering inquiries, handling routine correspondence and assembling data. Receive visitors and channel information through the security system as needed. Notify parents/guardians of student absences in accordance with the student handbook. Obtain attendance records for student entry and exit from campus during school hours (e.g. late notices, doctor's appointments, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accurate reporting of excused absences and truancies. Maintain daily student attendance and related reports and participate in periodic building attendance meetings. Maintain a data-based student record system and updated class lists, and the creation of student schedules. Research discrepancies of attendance information and/or documentation for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of attendance data before processing. Process documents and materials (e.g. discrepancies, correct errors in attendance records, change unverified absences to unexcused, attendance codes, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to the appropriate parties. Provide clerical support to administrators and/or teaching staff as needed. Maintain well-organized files. Exhibit knowledge of district policies, regulations, procedures and organization. Maintain the highest level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student and district information. Work collaboratively with the building secretary in the efficient daily operation of the school office. Assist in the creation of and monitoring of facility requests and usage. Register new families to the district.
QUALIFICATIONS
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary. 1. High School diploma or equivalent. 2. Computer skills as related to word processing and data entry. Proficient keyboarding skills, including touch typing ability. 3. Good oral and written communication skills. 4. Ability to operate basic office equipment. 5. Ability to organize work and perform multiple tasks. 6. Submission of PA School Personnel Health form. 7. Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
1.215 days per year; 7.5 hours per day 2. Starting rate
  • $18.
50 per hour 3. Salary and benefits according to the negotiated agreement between the Board of School Directors and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 384. 4.
