Milwaukee Paws Pet Care is a growing, team-based pet care company built on three things: exceptional care for our clients' dogs, a strong and supportive team culture, and the kind of reliability our clients can count on every single day. We're a small business with a big team (22 staff and growing) and we're looking for the right person to help us run the behind-the-scenes operation that keeps everything moving. If you're the kind of person who notices what needs to happen before anyone has to ask, this might be your role.The Role:
This is a hybrid Admin Assistant role (part remote, part in-person) that touches nearly every part of our operation. You'll work directly with the owner and our Team Lead/Team Trainer to keep scheduling tight, clients happy, staff properly trained, and our hiring pipeline full. It's a 15-20 hour/week position to start, with real room to grow as the company grows . We're not looking for someone to fill a seat! We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.What you will do:
Scheduling & Operations Manage staff scheduling using our software, balancing client needs, staff availability, and coverage before gaps happen Anticipate scheduling needs proactively, not just filling shifts, but thinking ahead Coordinate with the Owner and Team Lead to keep daily operations running smoothly Client & Staff Communication Serve as a key point of contact for client concerns; documenting, communicating, and following up professionally Support staff with day-to-day questions and updates Deliver feedback to staff in a way that is clear, kind, and constructive Training Support Work alongside our Team Trainer to monitor required training completion across the team Track and document staff training in our systems Help ensure every team member is properly onboarded and supported Hiring & Pipeline Own our hiring process; posting roles, reviewing applicants, and moving candidates through the pipeline Maintain an active bench of potential hires at all times so we're never scrambling to staff up Coordinate interviews and onboarding logistics Documentation Document client concerns, staff performance notes, and training records with accuracy and discretion Keep our internal systems organized and up to date Who you are: An independent worker who doesn't need to be micromanaged to get things done Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and stays calm when priorities shift A natural communicator; warm with people, clear in writing, and confident giving feedback Detail-oriented in a way that actually shows up in your work, not just on your résumé Tech-comfortable. You can learn new apps quickly and manage multiple platforms at once Someone who takes confidentiality seriously for our clients, our staff, and our business A dog person. Genuinely. This is non-negotiable.Requirements:
Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance (occasional field coverage may be needed) Comfortable using technology and learning new platforms. We use multiple apps to run our business Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Highly organized with strong attention to detail Previous experience in admin, operations, HR coordination, or a similar role is a plusTHIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU

This role pays between $18-21 per hour starting, depending on experience level. We offer PTO after 90 days, a flexible schedule and a great team atmosphere! The role is part hybrid, meaning some work can be done at home, some will take place in our office.
