17 This position offers a salary range of $71,805 - $80,868/year, with potential for advancement up to $113,243 based on qualifications, equity, and hiring guidelines. Initial salary offers are determined by qualifications, experience, and available budget, and typically do not exceed $80,868/year.Position Duties:
DHCD has an immediate opening for an HCD Community Program Administrator I, Loss Mitigation Asset Management Officer in the section of the Division of Credit Assurance. The Department's mission is to encourage homeownership and ensure the careful use of DHCD's financial resources. The Division of Credit Assurance (DCA) aims to maintain low delinquency rates in our single-family portfolio while helping borrowers remain in their homes. This position performs compliance audits of contract servicers mortgage servicing activities under federal and state regulations for DHCD's single-family portfolio. Additionally, the role oversees collections and loss mitigation protocols for MHF-insured bond-funded loans, conventionally insured bond-funded loans, and uninsured State-funded loans. Duties include providing customer service, counseling mortgagors on loan obligations, evaluating loss mitigation applications, and overseeing foreclosure and tax sales to mitigate DHCD's financial risk.Minimum Qualifications Education:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.Experience:
Four years of administrative or professional experience to include one year of financing experience or providing technical assistance for development or rehabilitation of multifamily or single family housing; neighborhood revitalization and business development; community infrastructure development; or historic preservation programs.Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute additional administrative or professional experience as defined above on a year-for-year basis for the required education. 2. Candidates may substitute additional job-related education at a rate of thirty credit hours for each year of experience for up to two years of the required experience. 3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in business and industry classification or business and industry specialty codes in the housing management field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in reading financials, understanding tax credits, performing underwriting, and researching credit ability
- Experience with customer service collections including debt collection and debt dispute
