Job Description
The Public Works Department is looking for friendly, professional, and motivated individual to join our team to provide support to our customer service team at the front desk. The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide clerical, administrative, and customer service support to the department. No benefits are associated with this temporary position.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE
$18.00 - $20.00 Open Until Filled - Application Review Begins Immediately- Greet and route citizens/customers visiting the department
- Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls appropriately
- Enter, monitor, and close service requests using a departmental work management system
- Assist external and internal customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail
- Type/Edit of correspondence
- Maintaining supply room and advise what supplies are needed
Minimum Education:
Position requires a high school diploma (or GED), supplemented with three (3) or more years of experience in Administrative Services, OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to operate a personal computer with proficiency in Microsoft Office and proprietary software
