Job Description

Comact is the North American leader in the design and manufacturing of equipment for wood processing mills. The company primarily serves the North American market, in addition to serving international clients. Comact offers the most comprehensive range of products on the market. Producing everything from mechanical equipment, PLCs and optimization systems equipped with digital vision scanners. Our products also deliver fully automated production lines. The company has over 1500 employees working in our divisions located across North America. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting daily shop operations by ensuring accurate timekeeping, processing freight invoices, resolving invoice discrepancies, and providing general administrative support. This role serves as a key point of contact for shop personnel, vendors, and visitors while maintaining organized and efficient office procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and correct employee timecards to ensure accuracy before payroll processing Process freight invoices in a timely and accurate manner Investigate and resolve issues related to freight as needed Greeting and assist guests, visitors, and vendors arriving at the shop Maintain organized records of invoices, timekeeping documents Answer teams' calls and respond to emails in a professional manner Perform other general administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous administrative or office support experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office systems Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
