Department SDSU-Admissions Operations Physical Location of Position (City) Brookings Posting Text South Dakota State University (SDSU) Admissions is currently seeking a detail-oriented, customer focused individual to join our team as an administrative assistant! The SDSU Admissions Office is an outgoing, dynamic team that strives to build strong work relationships and an environment that encourages teamwork and open communication. Our staff prides itself on providing a high level of customer service and is committed to the success of students at South Dakota State University. Our passion for higher education, the betterment of South Dakota State, and the Jackrabbits is evident in everything we do. The Admissions department serves as the primary gateway for prospective students by facilitating a smooth and transparent application and enrollment process. The department engages in active recruitment and outreach efforts while collaborating closely with academic departments, financial aid and other administrative units to ensure a seamless experience for prospective and admitted students. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota . Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Job Responsibilities:
Organize, review, and process SDSU admission applications in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions regarding the general application process and specific application information to prospective students and/or their families as well as to co-workers and school counselors through various means of communication. Must be a team player while being able to work independently.

Knowledge of:
Computer software and systems (i.e., Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Banner Student) Data entry Customer service practices Skill & Ability to : Learn Admissions processes and procedures. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate strong attention to detail. Provide excellent customer service to prospective students and/or their families. Work independently and as part of a team.
Comments:
This position is classified as a Senior Secretary. This system will guide you through the electronic application form.
