Dallas Pediatric clinic is looking for an experienced, dependable Front Office Lead / Medical Assistant to take ownership of our day-to-day front-office operations.
This is a hands-on role:
you'll work at the front desk while making sure daily workflows get done accurately and on time. This is not a traditional Office Manager position — billing and revenue-cycle management are handled separately, and business oversight comes from the Practice Director. We're looking for the go-to person who solves problems, communicates well with parents and staff, and follows through without constant supervision. What You'll Do Lead daily front-office operations and provide excellent service to patients and families Act as the daily point of contact between the front desk, clinical staff, and the Practice Director — keeping patient flow, schedule changes, and staffing issues moving throughout the day Manage check-in/check-out, phones, voicemails, and patient messages Schedule and confirm appointments; handle provider schedule changes and family notifications Verify demographics and insurance eligibility; collect copays and balances Coordinate referrals and authorizations De-escalate difficult patient and parent situations professionally Train and mentor front-office staff; improve workflows that aren't working Coordinate with our outsourced billing team Assist the clinical team as needed — rooming patients, vitals, exam room prep, point-of-care testing, and coverage when a team member is out Required 3+ years medical office/front-desk experience Prior Epic EHR experience Pediatric or primary-care experience Strong background in scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and collections Proven ability to work independently and own operational issues Excellent communication and strong computer skills Willingness to perform Medical Assistant duties as needed Strongly Preferred 5+ years medical office experience, with 1-2 years in a lead, supervisory, or training role 2+ years hands-on Epic; experience training others in Epic VFC Coordinator or Backup Coordinator experience (vaccine inventory, ordering, temperature monitoring, reconciliation, compliance reviews) Medical Assistant experience with CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification; BLS Bilingual English/Spanish Compensation $25.00-$28.00 per hour depending on Epic proficiency, pediatric and leadership experience, Medical Assistant capabilities, and VFC background. Includes a 90-day introductory period so both the employee and the practice can evaluate long-term fit.

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
