Primary Function:
Assist the City Secretary/Director of Finance in the Citys operational activities.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist in taking minutes at board meetings & city council meetings Prepare meeting materials for city council meetings Post board & city council agendas Answer phone calls about citizen concerns, enter work orders, Assist on filing/maintaining contracts, ordinances, resolutions Enter daily journal entries Enter utility account bill adjustments Process and print monthly water bills Verify Utility Daily Deposits, Municipal Court Daily Deposits, Library Daily Deposits, Arena Daily Deposits, Airport Daily Deposits Assist City Manager when needed All other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education, training experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent and three (3) or more years of accounting and customer service related work experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Possess basic level computer skills in the use of word processing, Excel, 10-key and data entry. Ability to pay attention to detail, set priorities and manage time and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and interruptions. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written with internal and external customers.
Work Hours:
Monday•Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. , Friday 7:30 a.m.•12:30 p.m.
