Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Animal Care Coordinator / Administrative Assistant to support our kennel operations and assist the owner with daily administrative tasks. This vital role combines hands-on animal care with efficient office management, ensuring a smooth and compassionate environment for our animals and team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for animal welfare, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive attitude to foster a positive experience for both animals and clients alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where animal handling, and administrative expertise come together to make a meaningful difference. Responsibilities Maintain accurate records of animal treatments, behaviors, and health histories in compliance with clinic standards Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, appointment scheduling, follow-up needs using our Gingr software. Assist and help manage kennel operations and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Support administrative duties such as managing appointments, answering phone calls, handling client inquiries, and maintaining files. Billing customers every two weeks using our software. Requirements Prior experience working in kennels preferred Knowledge of veterinary terminology, medication protocols, and record keeping systems Ability to perform cleaning duties efficiently while adhering to health and safety standards Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Passion for animal welfare combined with a proactive approach to supporting the kennel's daily operations This role is perfect for someone eager to combine their love for animals with administrative skills in a supportive environment.
