To Be Determined Job Description Administrative Assistant Guidance Department 10 Month Position (8 hours per day) Christiansburg High School Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is accepting applications for an administrative assistant position that is available at Christiansburg High School. This position will serve the guidance department of the school.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Previous experience in the secretarial and/or administrative office fields Working knowledge of modern professional office workflow Comprehensive knowledge of office terminology, procedures, and equipment Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office including EXCEL, WORD, and Powerpoint Functional knowledge of commonly used office equipment and work-flow technologies Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines Ability to maintain an unquestionable degree of confidentiality Ability to perform basic research and prepare reports Ability to multi-task, work with interruptions, and work under pressure Ability to be dependable and punctual
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a school system Understanding of responsibilities of high school guidance department Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable to meet the requirements of the specific assignments.

SALARY:
$29,600.00
  • $51,903.
78 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience and pro-rated to start date
