Job Overview:
Lake Cushman Maintenance Company (LCMC) is seeking a Programs Assistant I to provide year-round administrative and clerical support for a variety of LCMC operational and administrative programs. This position supports activities across multiple departments, including Water, Roads, Parks, Greenbelts, the Shop, and cross-department initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with technology, able to provide excellent customer service, and willing to learn a variety of LCMC systems and procedures. This position involves detailed administrative work, tracking information across multiple programs, and regular public interaction.

Position Details:
  • Starting Pay:
    $21.00 per hour
  • Hours:
    Part-time, 30 hours/week
  • Schedule:
    Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m
  • 2:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain organized digital and paper files, permits, correspondence, and program records
  • Perform data entry and update spreadsheets, databases, and digital forms
  • Prepare basic reports, letters, notices, and meeting packets
  • Assist with Requests for Action (RFAs), project tracking, and member communication
  • Support cross-connection and compliance documentation
  • Provide courteous assistance to members via phone, email, and in person
  • Help maintain Smartsheet folders, shared drives, and internal documentation
  • Track recurring tasks, deadlines, and follow-up items across multiple programs
  • Assist with procedure updates, internal documentation, and process improvement as assigned
  • Attend meetings as assigned and assist with note-taking
  • Support other LCMC programs or departments as organizational needs evolve
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic spreadsheet skills
  • Valid Washington State driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn LCMC systems and follow established procedures
  • Ability to manage recurring tasks, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records
Pay & Benefits:
  • $21.00/hour
  • Fixed daytime schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m
  • 2:30 p.m.
  • Paid sick leave
