High school diploma and two-year administrative assistant program or equivalent. Experience and ability in using Google Suite. Experience and ability to produce error-free documents that demonstrates correct grammar and sentence construction, attention to detail, proper layout, proofreading, and editing. Experience and ability to write and/or create correspondence letters, brochures, and newsletters. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge and experience or ability to be trained in Skyward (student, financial, and staff records). Be able to independently enter data, write, and generate reports, and interpret reports specific to the job with the ability to manage an office budget. Experience and ability to demonstrate the organization and prioritization of job responsibilities as well as being flexible and able to manage time. Experience and ability to work independently, be proactive, and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Experience and ability to solve problems creatively. Ability to make appropriate, timely decisions in the absence of the principal. Ability to maintain daily attendance reports and notifications associated with pupil attendance. This position will involve 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 11-months per year (August 1 through June 30). Flexible hours may be required throughout the year. The starting rate of pay for this position is $17.75 per hour. Provide excellent customer service to students and staff. Maintenance of student activity accounts. Provide administrative support, especially in matters of confidentiality. Assist the administrator in creating/maintaining the building schedule/budget. Typed correspondence for the administrator including reports, evaluations, agendas, memoranda, handbooks, and newsletters. Answer telephones and act as receptionist for conferences and scheduled appointments. Perform monthly accounting for the Student Activity Fund and the meals program. Submit monthly cash summary report. Collect and make ready for deposit fees at registration, student fees, fines, and monies handled throughout the year. Coordinate annual student registration process and assist students/parents registering. Follow up on unpaid registration fees. Distribute room keys and account for same. Record staff attendance, process timesheets, and secure substitutes. Perform any additional tasks as determined by the building administrator.
