Job Description

We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Part-Time Office Equipment Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of business and office equipment throughout the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, and providing professional on-site customer service. Experience with timekeeping, paper-handling, or finishing equipment is strongly preferred. Equipment May Include Time stamps, time clocks, and employee timekeeping equipment Paper folding machines Paper sealing and mailing equipment Paper shredders Other office, paper-handling, and document-processing equipment Responsibilities Travel to customer locations in and around Los Angeles to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair office equipment. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to service calls. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues. Replace worn or defective parts and make necessary adjustments. Test equipment after service to ensure proper operation. Clearly explain repairs, maintenance needs, and equipment operation to customers. Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and expense documentation. Represent the company professionally and provide reliable customer service. Qualifications Prior experience repairing office equipment, commercial equipment, electromechanical devices, or similar machinery preferred. Familiarity with time clocks, timestamp machines, paper folders, sealers, shredders, or related equipment is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Ability to lift and move equipment and parts as needed, up to [insert weight requirement] pounds. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
