The attendance clerk is responsible for monitoring and updating attendance data in Synergy to ensure accurate attendance records are maintained in a timely manner. The attendance clerk reports directly to the Assistant Principal in charge of attendance. In addition to the daily tasks listed below, the attendance clerk may also be called upon to support with other clerical duties as needed. Essential Duties The duties specified below are representative of the range of duties assigned to the job code/class and are not intended to be an inclusive or exhaustive list. As the 1426 Senior Clerk Typist, you will: May assign, supervise and review the work of subordinate clerical personnel in the performance of routine and various clerical tasks. May supervise and participate in the maintenance of a variety of detailed clerical records, documents related to leases, MOUs, permits and other contracts and agreements. Process developer fees and permit applications, calculate fees, send invoices, collect and reconcile payments. Maintain and update database for the District's contracts, lease agreements, MOU's, permits, and developer fees. Generate, maintain, update and reconcile reports and spreadsheets related to contracts, lease agreements, permits and developer fees. Maintain and update filing system and office records. Work with the general public, District departments, City departments, and other public agencies relating to permits, developer fees, leases and other agreements as required. Provides information in person, by telephone or in writing to the general public, District's departments, and other public agencies regarding the policies and procedures involved with contracts, lease agreements, MOU's, developer fees and permits. Independently compose correspondence for the general public, outside organizations, District departments, and other public agencies regarding office operations. Evaluate developer fee applications, permit applications, and licenses agreements to assure that they are complete and conform to District requirements. Receive and account for developer fee and permit fee revenues. Coordinate permit information among permitees, District departments, City Departments, and others as required to ensure proper administration of permits and developer fees. Process refund requisitions for permits and developer fees. Verify and process reports for custodial, security, and technical staff. Operate various office machines, i.e. photocopier, computer, fax, typewriter, voice mail. Etc. Answer telephones and assist walk-in customers Other related duties as required by the Real Estate and Permit Office.

Knowledge of San Francisco's public schools/urban public schools and a passionate belief in SFUSD's commitment to instructional leadership as a lever toward delivering on the SFUSD Graduate Profile Strong analytics and systems thinking necessary to interpret data to inform goals and strategy, as well as build infrastructure where none exists Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and roles within a complex organization A proven record of effectively planning, organizing and using resources to take action and achieve goals The ability to learn quickly and adapt as needed in a fast-paced environment Outstanding organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail A flexible, "can do" work ethic with a focus on identifying challenges and proactively working to find solutions while maintaining a bigger picture lens and focus on what can be delivered instead of what cannot be done Excellent data analysis skills and experience synthesizing data to drive action steps Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with senior level district staff and colleagues Effective written and verbal communication and the ability to clearly communicate complex, bureaucratic processes to a variety of audiences Ability to define and implement effective HR business practices Ability to work effectively in difficult situations that involve confidential and sensitive matters 1426 Senior Clerk Typist Real Estate Office Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and GSuite (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms) Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience Two (2) years of verifiable clerical experience including at least one year at a level comparable to a 1424 Clerk Typist. Experience must have included data entry, preparing and maintaining a wide variety of documents and reports, public contact, checking and reviewing documents for completeness, and performing mathematical computations. Working as a sales clerk or restaurant help does not qualify. Substitution A recognized clerical training program of 240 hours or the equivalent of 15 semester units in graded clerical college units may substitute for up to 6 months of experience.
