Job Description

The College of Behavioral & Community Sciences Dean's Office is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Federal Work-Study (FWS) Student Assistant to provide administrative and operational support in a professional office environment. This position plays an important role in maintaining daily office operations, assisting faculty, staff, and visitors, and supporting special projects across multiple departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Students must have been awarded Federal Work Study for the 2026 - 2027 school year and be available to work on campus. Work schedules will be developed collaboratively with the supervisor and will vary based on student availability, and school schedules. Reliable, professional, and willing to learn new skills, able to manage multiple tasks, communicates professionally, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills, strong organizational abilities, and a willingness to assist with a variety of office responsibilities are essential.
Responsibilities:
Sorting and distributing mail, receiving and delivering packages, maintaining office equipment and supplies, running campus errands using a golf cart (training provided if needed). Keeping shared workspaces clean and organized. Additional duties include organizing supply areas, maintaining common spaces, supporting document shredding and recycling, and assisting with routine office upkeep. Student assistants will also contribute to a variety of projects, such as preparing thank-you letters, organizing digital files, and assisting with communications, technology inventory, and other departmental initiatives as assigned.
