Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles for daily delivery routes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of packages. Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks. Follow designated routes while adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations to ensure safety on the road. Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages professionally and courteously, addressing customer inquiries when needed. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to maintain optimal vehicle condition. Utilize mobile devices or handheld scanners to track deliveries, update statuses, and communicate with dispatch teams efficiently. Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including moving packages within the facility using manual handling practices and material handling equipment. Requirements Reliable transportation is a must 21+ is a requirement Prior delivery driver experience or warehouse experience is highly preferred; familiarity with commercial driving is a plus. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (such as a commercial driver's license or personal vehicle registration). Ability to lift heavy packages safely using proper lifting techniques; comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting tasks. Knowledge of traffic regulations, DOT rules, and weight handling in the workplace to ensure compliance and safety. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude and excellent communication abilities. Ability to work independently in route driving scenarios while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and package tracking; familiarity with material handling equipment like pallet jacks is advantageous.
