In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling, sorting, and processing packages to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. This position offers an engaging environment where your organizational skills and physical stamina will shine, supporting the seamless flow of goods from our facility to customers' doorsteps. Whether you're experienced in warehouse distribution or eager to learn, this role provides a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in materials handling, shipment sorting, and warehouse operations. Duties Load and unload shipments using material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to ensure safe and accurate movement of goods Sort packages by destination using automatic inserting machines and manual methods, maintaining high accuracy standards Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and other material handling tools to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of items Perform data entry tasks related to shipment tracking, inventory updates, and mail distribution using Microsoft Office applications Conduct routine inspection of packages for damage or discrepancies, ensuring quality control before dispatch Assist with mail processing and distribution tasks, including filing and organizing shipping documents for easy retrieval Support outdoor work activities such as yard checks, fence inspections, and yard audits when necessary Qualifications Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts is highly desirable; certification is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate shipment sorting and data entry Basic math skills necessary for inventory counts, measurements, and package calculations Customer service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions; outdoor work experience is advantageous Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) for documentation purposes Ability to follow safety protocols diligently during manual handling and equipment operation This role is paid and offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a vibrant logistics environment.
