Job Description

Job Overview As a Mail Carrier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages to our customers. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle physical demands associated with the job. You will be responsible for navigating designated routes, managing deliveries, and maintaining a positive relationship with customers. Responsibilities Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes. Load and unload items from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from recipients. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and returns, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when necessary. Navigate routes efficiently using maps or GPS systems to optimize delivery times. Qualifications Previous experience in customer service is highly desirable. Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is a plus. Valid commercial driving license preferred; experience driving box trucks is beneficial. Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving practices. Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform manual labor tasks consistently throughout the day. Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous. Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles as required by the role. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
