  • Position Summary
  • The Track and Trace Clerk is responsible for monitoring, documenting, and communicating service-impacting transportation delays. This role supports on-time delivery performance by ensuring timely, accurate communication with internal stakeholders, carriers, and warehouses, while maintaining complete and accurate records within transportation systems.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • The Track and Trace Clerk will: + Monitor and respond to driver, carrier, warehouse, and internal inquiries through the Late Truck database inbox in a timely and professional manner.
+ Identify, document, and communicate all service-impacting events accurately and in accordance with established procedures. + Execute the standard process for communicating late truck notifications during daytime operations to Customer Service and internal stakeholders. + Provide clear, timely updates regarding: + Delayed pickups + Delayed deliveries + Appointment risks + Missed shipping or delivery windows + Escalate complex, high-impact, or time-sensitive on-time delivery (OTD) issues to the OTD Supervisor as appropriate. + Partner with carriers to obtain accurate and timely shipment status updates. + Ensure all communications, decisions, and load updates are accurately recorded in the Transportation Management System (TMS) and applicable internal tracking tools. + Support additional projects or duties as assigned.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. + Demonstrated analytical skills with effective written and verbal communication abilities. + Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. + Ability to adapt to frequent changes in a fast-paced environment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including data entry. At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $16.25-$24.00 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
